Random Sophia Facts
Miscellaneous paraphernalia all in a single post!
I know I post a lot of deep stuff on here so in honour of my impending ending of teenage hood and my concurrent holiday, here is some very fun facts about yours truly, SFP. I promise to switch up my focuses once August (my birth month) is very much over.
She reads more books than the remainder of her entire family combined (which is five people for reference): With moving, her mother, Clarita has even suggested using Sophia’s immense library to fill the study. Her favourites are typically international fiction by women writers but she also enjoys literary and artistic criticism as well as philosophy and classics, see more recommendations in every Consumption post as well as Some New Beach Reads.
Ione Skye follows her dog’s Instagram account (which she manages): Amongst the various social media pages Sophia has created, @olliekyoto is the one that shocks people the most as most people assume her brother, Nico, or her mother run it!
She qualifies for at least six different passports…if what she counted was right. American, Spanish, Colombian, Hungarian, Portuguese, and German, and probably more not going to lie! She only has the first two though…
She’s the quintessential uptown-downtown girl. For context, she may have only lived full-time uptown (thank you parents), but Sophia since having her own decision making skills at age twelve have stuck to downtown. Her secondary school, three in-person internships, and many art classes were all downtown. This mixed experience has allowed her to be affiliated with both and honestly appreciates both for different reasons.
Sophia, her father, all of her brothers, and her two grandmothers have birthdays on the 5th, 15th, or 25th. Everyone except Sophia and her maternal grandmother’s birthdays are also exactly every ten days from April 15th to May 25th (aka Birthday Season)…with her brothers going from youngest to oldest!
She would eventually like to be a published author once she manages to write an undergraduate thesis (and possible graduate dissertation) as it is the one thing that brings her the most joy which is why she is the ultimate humanities major (she is quite quantitive as well) and is pretty consistent with this project.
On the other end, she is fascinated by finance, data, and technology, and intends to work in the intersections of innovation and strategy with aesthetics and culture. She has exemplified this by working in the art, fashion, and luxury sectors and hopes to slowly work in a more business-driven environment by graduation.
Lastly, she is a bit of a hopeless romantic and no matter how highbrow her taste may seem, she is a sucker for the super cute yet albeit slightly cringe and adores romantising everything (thank you Charli XCX for reaffirming this)…
To be earnest, as I have not skipped a single week this year for sophstack but wanted to truly spend vacation, this is all I am bringing this week…I know it is not the most but please let me recharge for a bit between work and school (which thankfully I have another five weeks until)… Otherwise, thank you for reading and interacting as per usual and I will see you next week a year older!
